i suspect it to be a wheel bearing. but i have one question, with the vehicle totally in the air on stands and the vehicle in drive should all wheels rotate? on mine only the drivers side front and rear wheels spin passenger side are locked. i attempt to rotate them by hand but they take an extreme amount of force to budge.

the passenger side axle looks as if it has been leaking but there is no visible holes or cuts in the boot. it is also right under the oil filter and i figured it was just old oil that had set up on there and then been slung off when driving on down the road.

i have grabbed top and bottom of the right front wheel and moved it violently to see if i can feel any play and there is none. usually whenever ive had a bad bearing to the point you can hear it i feel play.

oh yeah this only happens once you hit 40mph.

any thoughts ideas would be greatly appreciated. i just hate to spend the money on the bearing or the axle and that not be it.

wheel bearing or seized caliper or bad axle on that front right.

typically both front wheels will spin in the air.

 

so what could cause neither of wheels on right/passenger side to spin at all on the awd.

 

its normal. sometimes all 4 wheels with not spin. not a true awd vehicle. if you hold the side that is spinning still, the other side with start spinning
