IF I change the ECU to a chipped one (mugen) will the immobilzer work?

One day I'll get a hondata, but not now- I have nothing to tune

You can easily make your auto start work without getting a new ECU. Any audio/alarm shop should carry the product to make it work. But you need a spare key to use.
