RSX S ECU upgrade
I can't answer your questions, but I'm curious. Why would would you want to alter the rev limiter, probably to a higher rpm, when the power curve starts to fall off sharply at the point it's set at from the factory? Or am I totally wrong here? Thanks for any info you can provide.
I want to raise to upper RPM limit because in autocross there are times when you're out of revs, but not quite to the corner, and there isn't really time to shift up and down. So even tho the power may drop off some it doesn't matter as much as if you were drag racing or something like that.

Well.. looking at my dyno sheet (completely stock) the HP hasn't quite dropped off (drastically) yet, so there may be some gain if the rev limiter were increased a tiny bit.. but looking at the torque curve it's gonna be dropping off very soon.

Thats a strong dyno Brew.
I hope AJAY gave me strong one as well, I only have AEM CAI only for performance, getting my exhaust soon as it is coming over from japan.
Where did you get the dyno?

See that 20 HP jump at 6000? That's exciting when your right in the middle of a corner and trying to accelerate out to the next corner. YIKES. I want to bring the VTEC in lower so I can keep it on the VTEC most of the run.

I don't see how anyone can argue about the advantage of lowering the v-tec engagement point... to a point.. remember the cams used while in v-tec are designed for the upper rpms ranges so at a certain point down low I'd imagine that they are no longer advantagous... I could be wrong though the v-tec cams could actually be better powerwise through the entire rpm range..

Oh by the way I have built 6 National Championship winning cars, how many have you built?

there is a rev limit for a reason. if you want to **** up your valvetrain and blow your motor then that's your choice. but if you can't shift in the heat of an autocross just because you're lazy, you need to learn to drive better.

as mr. dLo GSR or should I say jr. would say. "OWN3d".
damn I hate that word, but it is so needed in this case.
Del long, if you are interested in auto-x, one of the clubrsx users just installed a dc5 LSD and said it is doing wonders, go check it out. Direct fit, no issues.
