Default Valvetrain for Pro Series cams?

I've searched but not quite finding the answer I'm looking for.

Friend of mine is trading me his skunk2 tuner 2s for some skunk2 pro 2s I had laying around from an NA build.

He currently has a Crower valvetrain, does he have to go Skunk2 Pro Series springs and retainers or can he stick with the Crower or go to the more affordable Supertech setup?

We plan to spin his motor pretty high so looking for the best solution, not a band-aid.

Skunk2 would be best, especially if something goes wrong skunk2 will be far more likely to help you out if you used their cams and valvetrain together.

The crower setup has ran well in my buddies car for 2 years now, and it can be found for a decent price. Have the same seat pressures as the Skunk2's last time I checked.

Skunk2's valvetrain hasn't had the best reputation in the past so I thought I'd ask the question.

Found a nicely price set of pro series so we will be going with that.

Thanks for the input guys
