i just got a new hood for my da. i adjusted it to fit perfectly (adjusting it on the hinge). then about a week later the hood doesnt shut flush now. it clicks once then latches but it sits way up. it acutally looks like my hood is poped open a little bit. i dont understand why though. i tried adjusting the hood latch but it still wont shut flush. has anyone had this problem? im thinking i just need to replace the hoodlatch itself but at the same time, the hood latch i have now works fine, i even cleaned it.

 

I hope you did not strip the grease off the latch...maybe there is a screwdriver or something somewhere??

 

try the little rubber thingies on the side that you can adjust for the height that can set how low or high the hood sits on the sides?
