I just bought a bknw cf hood from a local. I bolted up all the hinges and everything, but when i go to close the hood the safety latch works, but the second latch won't lock it? I even tried leaving the hinges loose, so i can move it forward and back. It looks like the latch goes right down the middle and is even? No matter how hard i push or what angle, it won't latch! I tried adjusting the latch locking mechanism on the radiator support and i made it the highest, and it still won't latch? I measured the latch of the stock hood and it was around 1 3/4" while the bodykits nw hood was about 1" 3/8", but i don't think that should matter much? Any help would be great guys... thanks!

btw, i'm running hood pins for now.. but i would still like the latch to work.

Is the latch working? can you latch it with a screwdriver? or is the hood release cable binding? 94

I had the same problem with my hood what I did was just put a good set off hood pins. You mean it locks but doesn't lock fully right? Like primary lock and secondary lock scenario sorta?

not sure if it'll work for the hood you've got but when i put a friend's hood on his car for him, i had the same problem so i put washers between the hood and the latch. been working since the summer.

take off the hood rubber stops. They are like rubber screw's. take those out and you won't have a problem

I had the same problem with my integra. There's a little box looking thing on the cable that runs to the latch, it might be stuck. It's right next to the latch in the opening on the left. Try sliding it to the right, and then latching your hood. That was my problem.
