Default B17a1 swap in 90 si, fuel injectors aren't working?

I bought a 90 civic si hatchback that had a blown ls/vtec motor, running a obdo pr3 computer. I took that motor out and just put in a b17a1. I am getting fuel clear up to the injectors, but they aren't spraying. Im pretty sure that the distributor on the motor is obd1 and the injectors are obd1. I used plugs off of an extra harness I had to make the wiring connect to the newer distributor. I heard I need to eliminate the resister box. What is the easiest way to solve the probem? Do I get an obd0 dist.? Just remove the box? Have I done anything right? Please help me out.

Thank you.

If the ecu is obd0 you need an obd0 distributor.. Or you can convert to obd1 but you need a jumper harness and obd1 ecu... If you stay obd0 you need to get obd0 injectors and keep the box... If you go obd1 you can get rid of the box by soldering all the wires together..

And if you were previously running an obd0 vtec motor just use that distributor and injectors should work fine

Ok, for one thing you need to figure out if your going to be running OBD-0 or OBD-1 and go from there. My advice to you would be to convert to OBD-1 because your motor was setup to run OBD-1 (92-93 GSR) plus you have an OBD-1 dizzy and injectors.

There is plenty of information in the FAQ on How-to's related to this process.

If this doesn't float your popsicle stick, than stick with an OBD-O dizzy, OBD-0 injectors an keep the resistor.

total injector circuit resistance should be around 12-14ohms per

should have ign pwr avail to all injectors and each connected to the appropriate pin on the ECU, which may or may not fire em during crank even without proper dist., idk how honda engine management did **** back in the day. hth

Thanks , I didn't know about these issues before putting everything together. Do u think I hooked up the distributor wires correctly by simply matching up the colors and soldering obd1 distributor plugs onto my obd0 harness? Or do i simply take that back apart and put the obd0 distributor in, wire it up and run it with which injectors?

Sounds like the injectors are not firing. No you do not need to run the resistor box if you convert to obd1 if you stay obd0 you will need it. Wat ecu are you using?

I have a obdo pr3 in the car now. I just want to get the car running as quickly and inexpensively as possible. I was hoping to just put the obd0 dist. back in the car, remove the resister box, and be good to go. but from what i am hearing i guess i have to either switch to a chipped p28 ecu, or change out the dizzy and injectors.

correct me if im wrong.

A obd0 ecu will not run a obd1 dizzy so yes you need to run a obd0 dizzy also injectors and resistor box
