Check the pulley on the alt. bracket! if its loose or doesnt have a washer on both sides it will give a horible grinding sound.

first thing you gotta do is pull the supercharger and identify the problem, then i can say what to replace, most of the parts can be readily found, bearings, snout drive parts, etc. The rotor packs however, cannot.

did you check that pulley? why would you guys tell him to tear apart the supercharger? first check the simple things! then go and tear it apart! i had a horrible sound that sounded exactly like a big bolt was being tossed in the blower! as i kept checking i noticed the lower alt pulley on the bracket was loose and did not have a washer on both sides! after i put a washer and tightened it correct the sound went away and was quiet like a mouse! also check the clearence on the snout pulley to you brake booster! mine was very close and would grind on that on turns reverse and hard exceleration, i ended up using a 3.8 snout pulley for more clearence.
