Default Cel code questions 91 civic sedan

Hey guys for whatever reason my car is all of a sudden deciding not to start. I got a car wash yesterday and my battery light started to flicker. Made it home and after a few hours went to go start it and it just try's to crank and backfires.

My battery light is staying on at this point and not sure why?!

My actual question is: Its a 91 sedan with a obd1 d15b7 using a jumper harness. Are obd0 and obd1 the same thing when trying to jump codes?

Or how do i go about checking the Cel code.

^^^^ ditto. It will be a blue plug with 2 wires going to it use a paper clip to jump the 2 wires and then turn the key to on position and watch the cel blink
