Default JRSC Intake Tube

Im not sure if this is the place for this type of post.
Looking for someone to fabricate an intake for my JRSC.

I would like a 3" section from the charger to the throttle body to replace the Jackson s-tube between the supercharger and a 75mm (Mustang?) throttle body.

I have done what I could with a spacer and porting but the supercharger inlet is approximately 3" and I am not able to get anywhere near that with porting the s-tube.

If at all possible I would like to try to replicate something similar to what is used in the M45 kits with a smoother route and turn before the throttle body.

Maybe like this with the bypass in the original location

And Possibly an Intake tube 3.5" before the throttle body

Everything is off the car and can be sent along for a moc-up

Dan, if you can bring me the car, I can whip one up for you.

I considered it D. but the car is apart already and this is something I would like to get out of the way before I get the car to you. It's a real pain in the *** piece to deal with and I'm laying awake in bed trying to figure out the best plan of attack, there is a lot going on in that tight space.

This is something I really wanted to get to last year but once I got everything together it was more out of sight out if mind.

For those wanting to build there own "S" tubes I have around 15 CNC flanges to fit the blower.

I think that's why you need to give the whole car to D.

I spoke with Beard on the phone about this a bit and I feel that with the intake tube/throttle body/s-tube sent to him we should be able to use that as a template to sort it out.

CRVRX, what are you using these flanges for? I'm unaware that you offer any type of s-tube only modified cast units.

I found this one produced for a d-series kit, pretty much what I am looking to reproduce.

We used to offer a whole new "S" tube for the B motors but there not really cost affective to make. The flanges are 5150 aluminum CNC.

It would be easier to move the throtle body out beside the distributor. I was going to build one with my JRSC kit but i just sold the kit. The B series tb is in the worst place on the blower.

Moving it beside the Distributor allows for a 3" pipe with a longer shot to allow air to flow better .

Yes exactly like that! How big were you able to bore the flanges and what size pipe did you use?

Let me know if you find something, I'd be interested in one also for my RD-1.

Current plan is to find an m45 inlet manifold and s-tube and have them modified to fit and flow better.

If I have to buy them new I feel this us a better approach than to modify the vtec inlet manifold. I'm going to give moss a call today and see if they have any left.

Are you not considering buying the flanges from LHT? Why not use your existing S tube, cut off the flanges and go from there? Wanna keep them for future re-sale possibilities?

Yeah I got the supercharger flange coming from LHT, that was the only one they have available.

Yes I would like to keep the OE piece as a fail safe for now.

Unfortunately, Moss doesn't have the parts available anymore. If anyone knows of someone who has these parts laying around I would be willing to purchase them.

Here are the parts I have gotten thus far, still need the 1.5" tube for the bypass. I have some 3" tube to make the round-oval transition.

Or...

With the throttle mounted closer and the bends before the throttle plate.

Messed with this a bit today, my fab skills/tools have much to be desired. The aluminum tube cracked down each side as I expected an the tube is much too small on the blower side.
Burns sells a 3-3.5 reducer I may try insted.

Does anyone think 0.065" is too thin to support s throttle body?

Steel would have been much easier to work with but the flanges were harder to come by.
