Default LINCOLN Square Wave TIG 175

i was looking into making some manifolds and fabrication and i was wondering if any one has used this tig before

http://www.lincolnelectric.com/en-us...roduct=K1478-5

includes cart, pedal, torch, regulator but does not include the bottle as it is rented. also included is over 300.00 worth of steel rods, aluminum rods, stainless rods, tungstens and consumables. also included is an older but usable self darkening helmet.

all this for 1000 bux

so i was wondering if it will be enough for what i am looking to do and if it is worth it

like i said i am new to this and would greatly appreciate any info

I know a guy who ran his shop with a square wave 175 tig, and a millermatic mig. his manifolds were flawless.

Is this used? I'm looking into buying this machine but it's $1500. I tested it at a local company's open house and I loved the way it welded. I've welded with a Miller 180SD for quite a while and I liked this machine better.

Actually this is the machine that I used at school and for alot of my first manifold build. It's definately a good machine for starters. It performs flawlessly the only thing I wished it has was the ability to adjust post flow. Other than that I honestly loved them. Since they belonged to the school they got the CRAP kicked out of them and kept on tickin.

Also it has the ability to do A/C for Aluminum so it's pretty versitile for the $$$

This is the machine i have and i LOVE it. I wish you could adjust the A/C balance, other than that i don't have a single complaint. For the price it is an amazing machine, and at the price you mentioned including all that bonus stuff it is a real steal.

Is this a better welder than the Diversion 165 or the Hobart Ez Tig 165? Certainly a lot of glowing remarks here for the Lincoln...
