Wait wasn't the forte 'koup' already offered in an "R" trim? And lol@random Korean company trying to front the legendary "Type R" name. It was bad enough Mazda did it with their RX-7, but at least that was a respectable car.

The "R" monkier is used pretty widely. RX7 spirit R, mustang cobra R, etc. This is, ofcourse, because race starts with R.

What if the forte R ends up being impressive? Like if it had 25 more hp than the forte S (or whatever), some suspension tweaks, and a stripped down and reinforced chassis. Bet if "that's all" it came with, people wouldn't be impressed.

yea, did a wikipedia search, it came out in 1993. honda did type R 2 years later. but it says nothing about specific suspension tuning or stuff like that. all it talks about is a stronger motor. so if you want to give "Type R" to the RX-7, go ahead, but honda made it into the legend it is now.

I'm new to honda-tech but definitely not to forums and this made me LMAO for like 5 minutes.

Anyway, don't think you can just count out a Kia or korean cars anymore. While young to sport compact cars and all that, the genesis coupe and how well hyundai's done in the sport luxury class has kind of shut people. The gen coupe is like a muscle car and tuner car in one *drools*
