Front Suspension
Any suggestions for front suspension struts for a 93 Civic EX coupe? Doesnt have to be fancy, for like racing or adjustable, just something for a daily driver. Ive had good experiance with gabriel and the wife's sentra, but just want to see what people recommend.
I guess the first question is whats your price range. KYBs are nice the agx might be over kill if you are running stock springs. Bilstin makes really nice ridding shocks but they are quite pricy even for stock replacement. I know a lot of people that really like the ride of koni shocks and there not overly expensive
Koni sports will run you about 400
Srt-t 300ish?
Really if the car isnt modified there is no point in buying expensive shocks.
You could do ITR springs (or some sort of lowering spring,) with Koni sports, that would be nice, stiffen the car up a bit and lower it a little also.

Eh, not really wanting to lower it at all. If anything I want to restore it to normal ride hight. Im tired of the front lip dragging over every divit and bump/curb edge. So Im looking for not too expensive but not something that will not wear out in a relatively short amount of time. I believe the current suspension is probably original (Car only has 132k)

Do you know what the car has on it? How far is it lowerd?
Im was pretty low and my lip never touched the ground.

Stock height is kinda high. an inch or so below stock looks pretty nice and it's practical. A little negative camber helps handling, staying lower helps aerodynamics, and it just makes the wheel well look more even.
I really liked my Koni Yellows. They rode really well. Just as long as you get a good, known combination, you should be happy. You don't need to be an innovator, plenty of people have made the mistakes for others to learn from. The spring rate and dampening should be matched so that they work the right way. Like you wouldn't stick 1200 lb/in springs on stock shocks...
