Clearcoat is disappearing... !
I need some help figuring out my options, My civic was originally stock Black, but the previous owner pulled the cheap card and got it painted at Maaco, and now its a flat red and chalky red in places, how can I tell what kind of paint I have and what are my options. the drivers side is probably the worst!!!
Macco uses single stage paint. Which is why it looks like **** now.
I can't tell from the pictures, but you might be able to save that paint job with some buffing.
I suggest you just repaint the car! Base coat/clear coat. Single stage sucks ***!

Thanks for the input guys, I'm getting it repainted back to black. Don't trust maaco lol. The paintjob Maaco did was the WORST thing ever, not even a year old paintjob. ^^
It's either going to be the Original Black, but most likely I'm choosing Milano Red. Going all out this time, finally. Got the 99' front end read to be painted! Hope it comes out good.
