A million people have put the 99 and 00 intake manis on older models, and blocked the air injection holes with JB weld and set screws and everything...what about putting the 96-98 y8 manifold on an 00 y8? If you just plug the air injection hose would this pose any problems? CELs? Rich/lean conditions? Any loss of power?

Which gasket would I use...is the gasket specific to the head...or to the manifold?

I've researched and all I see is newer mani on older head...so if anyone has any info/links/references for people who have done these please let me know.

told you jb weld will work theres no significant ammount of pressure to those little holes and if jb weld can hold enough heat to patch a intake manifold plenum and also turbo piping it will hold that ive done so. gasket might work but youd be safer with jb weld (steel)

 

It's not the holes in the intake that need plugging...I'm doing the opposite...I need to know about the hose side...the 98 intake that i'm going to be using doesn't have the holes...but everything else is from an 00 so I need to know about plugging up the system itself before it even gets to the intake.

 

how far do you fill the holes with jb weld? the entire hole or just the tip
