car bogging at 3k rpm
ok, so i just got my car tuned at profunction on ectune. its a jdm h22 and made good power and was a healthy motor. after the dyno tune, the tuner let me take it out around the block to see if i liked it. it ran nice and pulled hard, but when i turned back around, the car starts bogging at 3k rpm like it doesnt want to go and doesnt have enough fuel going through until i full throttle. so he fixed it and it seemed fine until this morning when i drove the car, it did it again. when i reved the car, it smelled like alot of fuel. does anyone know what my problem can be? i want to see if anyone knows the problem before i do anything further. dont get me wrong, the people there were awesome and mike took his time on it. if anyone knows or has experienced this problem before, please help. thanks
when the car is running, do you hear your injectors opening and closing? you would hear a clicking noise coming from the fuel rail. if you don't hear them clicking then they are most likely stayin open. also how is the timing and whats done to motor?
i havent checked the clicking noise but i did take off the clips to see if it was the injectors and the idle changes so im thinking its not that. but i can be wrong. and i havent checked the timing because its a h2b in ek chasis and cant shoot the timing gun on it. its pretty much all stock with 1 layer head gasket.
so i think i might have figured it out. when mike tried fixing the problem and touch the ecu, the car acted funny. my bro moved the ecu and the car was normal. then i checked the ecu wires from the harness and 1 was spliced. i touched it and the idle changed. pulled it apart and threw a check code for CYP(cylinder sensor).
