Alright guys a need a little input/help.
I blew up my d16z6 so I swapped in a d15b7 shortly after I got my d16z6 head checked and it was fine so I did a mini me swap. d16z6 head on a b7 block.
After firing it up I noticed that it ran rough and had no power. I checked the cylinders by unplugging the plug wires. I came to find that when I unplug 2 plug wires nothing changes so I am running on two cylinders.
I checked the plug wires with a timing light and I am getting power to all. I also changed the spark plugs and wires out and it didn't help. I checked if its getting fuel and it is. (the spark plugs are wet with gas).
I also switched between a p28 z6 ecu and a b7 ecu and nothing! I am throwing no codes either.
Does anyone have any idea why two of my cylinders are not working?
If you guys can help me that would be awesome.
Note: both motors ran on all four cylinders before the swap even the z6 with rod knock.

I'd be willing to bet that those two cylinders have low/no compression. Do a compression test and you'll be able to confirm if that is the problem. You have spark (at least going through the wires, CivicSD has a point that you should look into), and you have fuel. You need spark, fuel, AND compression for the engine to run (and before someone says you need air, I know you need air but that's sort of a given).
[QUOTE=Laserjock;44366690]check and verify the firing order
I checked the firing order and I had it wrong. I corrected the order and now cylinders 3 and 4 don't work. and before if was 2 and 3 that didn't work cylinder 2 is working now?
Could this be a bad cap or rotor? I'm using the z6 dizzy and it worked in the other motor

I'm glad you got it figured out but I'm curious how you were able to verify spark because in the first post you said all were getting spark. If the cap/rotor were bad wouldn't that NOT send spark through the wire when you tested each one with the timing light? Oh well, at least it's running now
