well what i can think of doing is gettin a body glue (speed grip) or any brand and fill in the holes with it and after that screw in the bolts and let it sit for a sec then once you notice it starting to dry or harden then slowly with ur hands unscrwe the bolt. IMO thats pretty smart lol

just use some dzus buttons to fasten the hood down. the hood is light enough to lift off instead of just using the prop stick.

gotta do some welding of course so might be more work than you want.
there is a bracket that goes under the hood that the little thing will lock into

which bracket? pic of that too(maybe zoomed out)? if thats exterior thats hideous and wouldnt want. if its hidden, ill give it a shot. where do i find these kits

thanks for your help. it doesnt close right as of right now but i was going to transfer it to another car but was scared id ruin it by unscrewing the bolts off it right now. pretty sure its been cross threaded and everything. the guy probably tried to tighten one side all the way down and couldnt line up the other side. i was thinking of just removing the hinges entirely and transferring that way but i still want it flush and not loose like it is right now

the picture above is the exterior, they are not as bad as you think, especially if you get them powdercoated black, they blend in with the cf.

here is a website although you sound like you may not like the appearance of these.
http://dzusfasteners.net/

you can buy them at jegs/summit.

in this picture you can see the exterior portion with the actual button, then the gold springs attach to the two small holes on the bracket which is located at the bottom of this picture. you simply take a screwdriver and turn the buttom to snap into the spring.

its a brilliant idea really... i just dont really feel comfortable drilling holes on the top of a 700 dollar hood and/or having any type of pins

These are used on race cars all the time to attach body panels. My trunk and spoon cf hood are attached with these.

Do a search for aero fasteners which I think have a lock on them and are sleek. Other than that just fill and retap

Im not sure if helicoil would work with the carbon holes
but try finding the appropriate size helicoil, just drill the hole
out with the bit in the kit, tap the threads, and run the helicoil
in, it works wonders with aluminum, it may work with your hood
as well.
