Icon6 b20/gsr build need help

ok, as usual im reaching out to the honda tech community.

Last night think i bent a valve on cylinder #4 while tuning my nitrous set up. I have a b20b/ Gsr head. I need to rebuild the head and i want everyone OPINION GOOD OR BAD I would like to upgrade to type r internals to match with the cams.. should I use after market valves? Whats the best ones to buy b/c of the b20 valve tap Myth?

At the machine shop - What type of job to i ask for... 3 angle P&P i dont know what the best procedure is to do, I dont want to call them and look like a stupid ricer and they rape me for $$

Also I'm from North New Jersey I need opinions on local machine shops.

Here's my set-up
b20b block - stock

gsr head- sk2 mani, prelude injectors, type R cams, stock valves..ect

Full bolt on's - FPR, Type R pulley/ lightened flywheel, IHE Chipped ecu

ignition- stock

Replies and PM's would be greatly appreciated!!

I would stick with OEM ITR valves/ Supertech or Crower Dual valvesprings/retainers.

I would also look into building the bottom block for more potential.

does the machine shop know how to port these Honda GSR heads?
do they have custom high performance profile cutters for the valve jobs?
what are the gains customers have seen with thier portwork or valve jobs?
these are very important to know, because if they dont have or know any of the above, then your getting rape for your money.

has the had ever been milled?? with those cams the valves are pretty close to the pistons assuming its a low compression b20!!! maybe you had some contact with the piston on the dope...possible valve float from over reving??

If it was me I would jus replace tha valves u bent and use tha stock 1,s...for valve train I wouldn't replacw with used stuff and for tha price of new type r stuf u can get supertech springs... Crower cro-moly steel retainers are only 60 bucks!!.....also either grind your valve reliefs a little deeper or get a thicker head gasket for extra insurance.....that's just me though

If you think Supertech is "super expensive," building a Honda motor probably isn't for you. I would stick to your small block Chevrolet's if a set of good valvetrain for $250 bucks scares you..
