Hello all!! I have a 98 civic dx with y7 in it, its got 200,000 mi on it and using oil so i wanted to change engines. So I am Buying a B16B to put in it since Iam putting it in myself. I have a couple of Questions before i get started.

I dont think i can use the engine wiring harness that comes with it, so can i use my existing dx harness or would i be better off getting a used Si harness?
do i need to buy a Si rear motor mount or can i use my existing one?
do i need to buy a new fuel rail or can i use the one on the B16B?
Will my existing drive axles and half shaft work?
Will my dx shift linkage work with the B16B?
Alright iam sorry for so many questions so this is my last one. Iam wanting to get a type r gauge cluster and my current one does not have a tach but the type r does have one, would it be difficult hooking the type r tach up?

check the FAQ, the answers are all there, it is a very simple swap

All ek clusters are plug and play

 

you need b series trans shift linkage +axels .

mod your harness borrow connectors from b16b harness
yes (99-2000 si) unless your b16b comes with the t-mount
use the b16b no and if you have a y7 you don't have a half shaft

just plug in the cluster its pre wired for a tach

better off using the b16 harness, y7 harness does not have the wiring for vtec
