Basically, i'm in the middle of purchasing a set of "Sparco Ns-II's" and i'm not sure on how to tell if they're a set of replicas or if they're are "The Real Deal". So, what i'm asking for is for you guys/gals help me out and let me know if there's something specific that tells me that they're authentic, for example, Sparco engraved on the back side of the rims, tags, bolt patterns, etc...

Look for a stamp that says "Crimson". It's the manufacturer of Racing Sparco wheels.

Ok, the guy that i'm buying the rims off of just told me that the tags are messed up but he could see some chinese/jdm writing. Does that mean they are authentic?

 

When looking at the face of the wheel it should say crimson inc. and also racing sparco.

 

can someone verify if these are authentic sparco ns-2?????

Notice the gap between the face of the spokes and the lip. Idk if 15's are different where they have no gap?

Actually looking at your pics again I'd say not sparco racing nsII. The valve stem is mounted different on the ones you posted.

 

Does your ns-2's say "Made In Taiwan"?

 

Made in Japan.

The ones you have pictured do look like the 15in version. But idk if they were ever made in different factories or possibly for different companies. All the ones I've come across were made in japan.

 

Damn, so what do you think i should do? Should i get them? What do you suggest?

 

Honestly if you like them and the price is something you'd pay then yeah get them, it's up to you what you want.

 

just by looking at the pictures, they don't seem real to me. The real sparco's i believe were a welded center to the barrel, and the lip and face meet doesn't look that way. i think these are just some replica wheel.

i'd ask for more pictures of the back of the wheel. like everyone else said, it should have a made in japan stamp on the face somewhere

fyi: sparco made a wheel design like these in 1 piece and 2 piece welded versions and back in the mid nineties there was a one piece replica that was sold that also was made in japan so either way it would be hard to tell.

just ask the owner to take a high res photo of any stampings that say sparco on them and if he cant do that then id just pass up the deal and wait for another set to appear or if theyre cheap enough n u want em that bad just buy em.

The rims are at my girls house in her garage lol...They def have writing around the lip not sure what it says... Im not down for screwing anyone over but im not sure if they are real or not... Hit me up if you want them I have another guy who wants to come pick them up.. He was the one who actually told me about this thread lol...
