Pulling my engine, got some questions with pics
Hey guys the vacume lines and rubber hoses along with the plugs are all self explanatory. what im not so sure about is the HARD LINES. for the record i am not going to be having AC so the easiest extraction is what im looking for (so if i can hack these things off thats fine)
the first picture is the power steering line. do i take this off at the pump or the firewall? anything i need to know about this?
the second picture is the ac lines that run from the firewall all around. if i dont want AC can i just hack these? if so whats the protocol? clamp them shut? plug them up? or should i not cut these for other reasons?
lastly the 3rd picture is a hard line going from (the canister'ish area to the lower part of the intake/throttle body do i take that off at the throttle body and is there any specific instuctions for this?
thanks in advance i dont know why the hard lines just bother me because i dont mess with this stuff often and they arent as easy as removing a clamp and sliding a hose off.

I hope this helps....good luck!
Yea you definitely dont need to "hack" your AC/PS line just unbolt them from the ac compressor and the power steering pump. There are some off us without ac/ps that just want ac. lol And when you unbolt the gas line you can do it at the fuel filter or the fuel rail, if you do it at the fuel filter you will have to replace the little washers in there or else you will have a fuel leak. Good luck.
1) unbolt the powersteering line at the pump and rack-n-pinion this line is your "presure line". then remove pump
2)your ac line has a lil "gold" should be black but anyways, there is a lil tire vavle thing in there. release the presure, then un bolt at the firewall and at compresser. then remove compresser.
3) this is your fuel line goes from you fuel filter to your tb. there is a lil bolt on top of a nother bolt this is your presure release bolt for the fuel line. release presure then take off hose at the filter. you can keep it atacted to the tb.
honestly it sould like you shou7ld have some help with your swap. please dont cut anything that is in good shape and that another honda lover can use.

thanks for the help fellas. as for the ac hack, the ac doesnt work and this is a beater car i dont plan on paying 300 for a charge and replacement parts. so hack or not, its not to rub it in you "non ac guys" face haha im right there with you
and thanks for the help neek, but no need to remove the pump im just pulling the entire unit out and the pump will come with it. just worried about the lines/pressures. and i do have help its called honda tech! ive pulled many motors (american that usually have more room) im plenty mechanically inclined to do so although i will need help on minor details because all hoses and plugs arent created equally on every cars wiring harness/set up. ive pulled 3 or 4 motors in my day, rebuilt top 2 top ends from blown head gaskets, and all sorts of other random acts of mechanitry haha. this unhooking **** is the hardest part. after that i pull the hub off axles out and remove 3 mounts along with my manifold and the engine will hoist right out. keep an eye out for me buddy im sure this wont be my last post
and for the record that ac line is all sorts of jerry rigged, you must not be able to see it by that picture but someone has done some sort of welding/molting job all over it (pictured in yellow). its far from useful to another honda and trust me ill save everything i can to part out with the parts car i have when all is said and done.

haha i have no idea man. its pretty ridiculous. it looks like the line had been broken or cut and someone decided later on that they wanted ac so they spliced/welded that together in some manor. theres no way it ever worked. it just looks like melted mangled metal i can picture how any freon or anything could run through that!

Wow, even though your a noob, I like how your post is well done and the questions are clear.
1) First loosen the PS adjustment nut, this will allow you to move the PS pump around a bit. You'll see that there are a few 10mm or 12mm bolts that hold the PUMP onto the BRACKET. You simply remove the pump first. If you don't plan on using PS then you can remove the PS bracket that is bolted onto the block also. Those are 14mm bolts there should be 2 of them i think.
2) as for the AC lines. If you know for a fact that you won't need them anymore you can trash them and cut them with pliers. BUT before you cut them make sure they are not pressurized. To check just use a small pen and push down on that gold nipple to release the pressure. I'd would cut them just so it's easier to work on it. After cutting use the right size wrench to remove it from the fire wall. (if you want to remove the AC condensor unit behind the dash it's more work).
this is what it looks like

you can remove the core and foam and reinstall just the black box back under the dash.
3) fuel lines. I'm almost positive that those bolts are 14mm. Slow try to remove them. It may be tricky cause you won't have that much leverag when your trying to remove the one from the fuel fiter. Bolt bolts have 2 washers, make sure you don't loose them.

bango bolt on the filter are 17mm and the presure release bolts are 12mm
