Default Bleeding a 90 Accord

Recently my clutch went soft. So soft I had no pressure on the clutch and could not shift. Today I attempted to bleed the line after reading up about it here on the forums, and other places.
But after bleeding it till there were no more air bubbles, and then a couple times of repeating the clutch pump part, the clutch never regained any pressure.
In fact it lost pressure if anything. Now it stays up in normal position, or it pops to being stuck down immediately.

Here's what I did

1.) Connected a tube to the bleed valve. Put the other end into a cup of water.

2.) Filled the reservoir with dot 3 brake fluid.

3.) Had a friend pump the clutch, or at least attempted to pump since he couldn't really

4.) loosened the valve, bubbles came out, and some brake fluid (very very slowly though, the tube I was unsure about because it was tough to fit around the end, I was also unsure about how much to loosen the valve.) I felt like it was enough because it was slowly letting out brake fluid.
I was unsure of how much break fluid to let out, so after just a little I would seal it back up and repeat the process. After no more air bubbles then a couple more tries, the clutch never regained pressure.

Anything I did wrong? Any advice on it?
