help please car wont start!
ok heres what I have going on. I will try to make this as short and simple as possible. I have a 97' Integra with a built B18B1 I recently got. The car used to run before it got broken into several months ago. The vandals attempted to steal it but were unsuccessful because they were missing the end plug that was removed from the wiring harness under the hood. I dont know how many of you know about this plug, but all I know is without it you cant start the car. They broke into the steering column and broke the steering lock. the ignition switch otherwise is fine and works. Since they couldnt steal the car I guess they decided to steal the ecu which was programed with uberdata base map, intake, and an safc which was wired in and being used for unknown reasons. The safc wiring harness is still wired in though. Since aquiring the car and I have replaced the intake, ecu and conversion harness from phearable.net and put a new battery in. The car seems to get plenty of power from the battery. All the lights work, including dash lights, etc. However, when I turn the key to start it I get nothing but a click from a relay (I think its a relay) under the hood. The starter seems to get nothing at all. The solenoid doesnt even click. I havent checked all my fuses yet, but I plan on doing that next. Does anyone know if the SAFC harness being wired in without the SAFC being attached would cause me a problem with it starting? any other problems I should look for?
Thanks to John Vega at Phearable who sold me my new chipped ecu avised me to check the two switches at the clutch pedal and sure enough thats what it was.
