rota rims
I'm with Dave B! Let the rotas do all the dirty work. not everyone can afford to put used $1500+ wheels to work. I have Circuit 10's for dd, and oem for track use.
there are some Rota retailers here on h-t, just do a search and you will find what you need.

I agree totally! I don't see what the big deal is with having a set of Rotas on an R to begin with. Hate me but so what.
After I do all the other things on the menu for my car that "might" be the last thing I buy is a set of TE37's, Gram Lights, etc. Till then I don't mind faking the funk with a set of Grids.
My Rotas have well over 20k track miles....hard Canuckr style miles too.
To answer your question....assuming OP comes back
Years ago, I bought a set of Konigs from this vendor and was very happy with the transaction. Here's his Rota thread....he may ship to you..

I've seen too many Rota wheels fail with "normal" driving abuse. Some designs are ok, but some absolutely are not.
Personally, I'd buy a set of Enkeis way before I'd even look at a Rota.
And how is this ITR related?

And that's the thing--you have properly designed and R&D'd wheels like the Kosei K1, K1-TS, Enkeis, etc. that are all almost as light and much stronger than the Rotas.
I mean, for track wheels a wider and ligher wheel is nice, but it's not like you're competing for laptimes. If you are, then you'll be running something forged. If not racing, then why not have the piece of mind running an aftermarket wheel that you won't worry about it fragging when you come off a berm or something?
Remember that most Rota wheels are copies of forged wheels--very nearly identical copies. A design that works with a forged wheel may not be strong enough with a mild cast wheel.
This is why I don't understand the purchase of a Rota wheel when there are so many better alternatives out there.
I would think if a Rota wheel cracked or failed it would have to be some serious abuse, hitting a curb (really hard) or bottoming out in a deep pothole. I'm not that hard on any rim.
Todd, while I have heard older stories about cracking Rota's, I don't recall any recently, and not with Slips. Any recent data on this?
Any wheel can crack guys. I never had a problem from my GT3's, Enkei's, or my Konig's. I did however have a Blitz type 01 crack on a spoke and on the barrel. But hey **** happens. I think it all boils down to what type of abuse is put on the wheels, and how often the wheels are subject to that abuse.
There are horror stories all over the 'net about their wheels being prone to failure. Heck, I've even personally seen two sets at an autox that were beginning to crack @ the spokes. And these were not abused wheels, either.
I've seen less issues with slipstreams than I have with their other designs. The 15" version seems to be decently strong (due to the spoke design). Still though, there are other wheels I'd buy/trust before a slipstream.

I wanna see some actual proof of a Rota wheel breaking under normal and moderate abuse.. And proof that it was a the original owner.
If these wheels whether they be Rota or any other company are second hand use, then you don't know what kind of abuse they have been through before that person got them and had the wheel break on them.
I dont track or anything or have been to a race so I'm unfamiliar w/ the type of stress that is put on wheels while racing. But I assume w/ super sticky tires and while in a turn is the most probable time the wheel could break? I'm I correct? Or what would most likey cause a wheel to break with out hitting something?
