Annoyed? Tired? Me too.
I feel the need to vent a bit.
So I put my 01 ITR away back in August thinking its going to snow like crazy and there is going to be salt all over the ground in a few weeks. Well we just got our first snow storm a few weeks ago and all this time I could have been driving my R I was driving my POS winter beater. Stupid mistake.
After putting it away, I decide to do some maintenance. This ends with me pulling the swap to rebuild the motor. Not a terribly hard thing but I pulled the swap and for some reason the shift linkage will not come off the ****ing transmission. The bitch pin is apparently gone or so it seems but I need to transfer this link over to my other trans, and it doesn't want to let go. Not to mention that I forgot to loosen the crank pulley before I took it out of the car. Now its sitting on my floor and an impact wont do it.
With the motor out and me sitting, waiting for parts I decide to tackle the slow windows. I tried everything to speed them up and they remain slow. Well I've never done a window motor in an Integra and come to find out its in a pocket behind the goddamn metal. Both windows are slow as hell so I am praying that my $100 window switch fixes it and I dont have to start taking windows and such out. To add insult to injury to door panels took a beating and the top weather strip is half coming off the panel.
Oh, and why the **** is the harness all cut up and held together with electrical tape? At some time someone attacked my harness with a knife and patched it up like a lunatic. I emailed Rywire in the hopes that I could get him to solder it and rewrap it but I never heard back from him after sending him some pics. Too much of a headache lol and I don't feel like doing it right now.
Are these the January blues? I look out at the snow in my yard and the white, salt covered roads and I just want to get my car back together and drive it. I feel like I'm loosing the battle to get it back on the road by the end of March/ beginning of April, or whenever the salt from the roads washes away. I feel like I'm going to **** it up and be without my car in the spring.
Not to mention I keep trying to buy stuff from people but the holidays and finals this semester really killed me and I feel like my world has finally stopped spinning....
