I just installed a hid kit on the high beam and the next day one side was not working anymore. I cheked the bulp and the ballast and its working, ive cheked the fuses (10A engine bay fuse box and 7.5A under dash fuse box) ive cheked both wire that goes to the high beam plug and i found that the ground is good but there is no power on the red/black wire. Also ive found that when my LOW beams are on you can see a very small shadow of the blue high beam dash light.. it was not doing that before the hid's... can someone give me any info on how to troubleshoot this? i have a multimeter but dont know how to use it..thanks

 

Put the stock bulbs back in the high beams and test to see if they work.

 

What kinda car is it ep or rsx? If it is an ep what year 02-03 or 04-05? I saw this problem with an 05 ep and it turned out to be one of the fuse's were blown.

 

Had similar problem, it turned out to be a bad ballast. Bought and installed new brand and don't have a problem since.
