ok i have a 99 civic si with a gsr swap and i bought a new dizzy for it because the old one went bad. i bought the new dizzy off ebay. it working fine and all but the problem is that when i rev the car past 5k rpm the tach would stop working.what you guys and girls think it might be?

 

you could rev it and the tach would move right or your tack not moving at all?

 

OBD1 ECU?

The blue wire attached to the igniter unit may be loose or the igniter unit may be bad.

 

the tach work when driving and rev but when it goes past 5k rpm it would stop working. when i restart the car the tach would work fine again and till i go past 5k rpm.

 

the car is running on a 96 jdm gsr ecu so it a obd2. i would have to go check the blue wire attached to the igniter
