93 EG still wont start
i got a new battery fuse and put it in. everything seems fine.
try to start it, and it turns but doesnt start up.
dash lights come on and everything.
fuel pump, injectors, etc. are working.
i noticed thought that there is no 38 fuse on the underhood fuse box?
would this cause it not to start?
need help ASAP. trying to get everything fully operational today.

no spark from dizzy
so ive had no starting problems with my 93 eg si all day.
checked fuses, fuel pump, injectors, etc. work.
battery is good.
had my brother sit in the car while i pulled off a spark plug wire, and had him crank the car while placing the wire near metal.....AND.....nothing.
i did this all 4 times.
should i just use another distributor and see if the problem is fixed, or is there i way i can rebuild it.
i do not have a multimeter on hand, or a tester.

Am i timing it wrong?/
is there any way you can time a z6 wrong??
i know the cam gear should say up, the two marks on the timing cover are aligned, and the bottom one as well.
i just cant figure out why my eg wont start.
fuel rail is getting fuel, the pump primes, dizzy gives spark. replaced the coil in the dizzy. firing order is correct.
any idea?

Re: Am i timing it wrong?/
the motor will turn and turn but it wont start. it sputtered twice for the first time about 15 min.
i had to put another dizzy on it. and it is a z6 dizzy.
i also took the same injectors out of a working car and put em in the fuel rail and still nothing.

Re: 93 EG still wont start
ignition timing is correct.
had laptop out there while i did it.
replaced the coil and i have spark.
replaced injectors, and fuel rail.
i am getting fuel to the rail, and to the injectors.
going to check the plugs and compression test tomorrow.
also noticed something.
driver rear tail light stays on, and interior light doesnt come on when driver dore is opened.
and the dash lighting switch doesnt work.

Re: 93 EG still wont start
RonJ gave me a great clue a while back(lurking on a thread) to what my problem was which I finally fixed yesterday: Cel should come on then go off when key is turned(not cranking on but just on-when all indicators light) if cel stays on then check the ground going to the thermostat, if good and still have the same prob then ecu could be the problem--I had times when my cel would stay on=no start--I would wait then sometimes it would go off and I could start my car--thought it was the ignition switch and this problem persisted until yesterday when i changed my ecu. thanks RonJ
