I'm taking the alternator out of my dead 98 civic to use in my 86 accord, mainly because i moved the factory alternator on the accord, and the civic pulley matches my AC pulley which is now driving the Accord alternator, I need to know the connections on the alternator plug and if it can be operated without the computer in the civic, also what is the amperage output of the civic alternator? it's a 98 lx, with the non vtec engine.

 

White wire goes to fuse #41 & elec load detector in under hood fuse box
White / Green is alternator control signal (ALTC) goes to ECU
White / Red is alternator FR signal (ALTF) goes to ECU
Black / Yellow is power to ignition goes to under dash fuse/relay box
White / Blue is charging indicator light in dash

 

ok what dose the alt FR stand for i need to know what fr stands for

 

ok now i had the same prob now what i did was run a push button to the black and yellow wire and one wire to the hot 12v power sorce and ever time i start my car i push the button once and the power jumps right to where it goes so on my 2000 honda civic ex if u want you battery to quit draining when this happens up a jumper which is what i said i did it cant temp fix the prob to u fig out where the real prob is like me
