depends what you want...4-2-1 will give u more low-mid power than 4-1...but 4-1 will give your more high end power than 4-2-1. i would go with 4-1 if i were u just because of the 8100 redline and mad Vt3k.

4-2-1 for low end to midrange power...
4-1 for top-end power..

4-2-1 is good for daily street driving, 4-1 for racing.
I'd go 4-1 since honda engines make all their power in the higher revband anyway.

I'll be the dissenting voice here. I like the 4-2-1 designs myself. Though I think too much is made of this. Any well designed header will allow the engine to expell exhaust gasses more efficeintly and therefore increase power slightly. If you look at a thorough and objective comparison of several designs the differences are not that great, and there's little difference between the 4-2-1 and 4-1 designs at any RPM. Now I just know that someone will come along and say that custom header X makes gobs more HP then mass produced header Y and only costs 10x as much...but that would be a really poor return on capital anyway unless you had a really extreme setup. Here's a link to a comparo:

They do make hybrid headers that are really expensive but give you the mid range of the 4-2-1 and the high end of the 4-1. From what I hear, comptech has made an affordable header that gives good mid end as well as high end. But what everyone has said is right. 4-1 for high end (mates well with high reving vtec engines) 4-2-1 for mid end (good for LS to get a little more pull in the middle)

I'd think that would be a reason to get a 4-2-1, to make up for the mid range power that the engine lacks...
