welding rings?
Ok
I know ive seen these somewhere on here and ive searched for about an hour now.
Im looking into building my first manifold, and i liked the idea behind these.
They fit inside the pipe to be welded and allow for adjustment/backing of the next piece etc etc.
Ive googled and the only thing i come up with are welded rings from mcmastercarr/fastenal.
Any online suppliers?

I use my Miller mig with 316 filler wire to tack and then I come back with a pencil grinder before final welding.
I have never had negative results by doing this. You can fit free handed and if you get good at it, it speeds up the process exponentially. I can have a pretty complicated manifold done in a day providing I have everything I need.
