Default B18B1 Starting Issues

Hey everyone,

So I recently bought a 1995 Civic DX off of a local and it was built by the previous owner. It has a B18B1 off of an Integra. It is turbocharged and has many after-market parts; internals, etc.

I was driving about a month ago and it suddenly just died as I was entering an accelerating ramp. I pulled off to the side and tried starting it up, but it wouldn't. Sat there for almost an hour, put some oil in, and it eventually started up. I managed to drive it back to my house where it's been for the majority of the time. It's been off and on when trying to start, a few weeks ago I could get it started, but the idling was off and it seemed to sway up and down. I was able to drive it for a little bit. About a week ago I tried starting it and it won't. It hasn't started up since and I'm not sure what the deal is.

I'm thinking maybe it's a timing issue, an issue with the distributor, a fuel issue, I have no idea. When it started to not start at all, I pulled out the spark plugs and they were covered in oil. I'm still not sure why. I put in new plugs, but no luck.

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated as I know there are many people on this board who are immensely smarter than I!

Thank you!

1) Turn the key from off to ON(II). Do you hear the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds?

2) Click the spark link in my signature.

3) Any CEL codes? Click the CEL sticky at the top.

LOL buying modded cars, especially boosted ones.. is always a baddd idea unless you have the know-how and the means to pick and probe it yourself, or the cash to pay someone for all the time involved in it.

best advice.. see if it has the means to start like a factory car. ie.. the starter is operating, it's getting fuel/spark, and has compression.

if you have all of these, then you can see if it isn't starting due to the tuning or other aftermarket reason.

good luck.
