well I have been kicking around what to do another built block or a stock one, and decided we will go for the stock gsr block and max it out where it stops lol.

I know about the reliability, and ringlands, and this and that but thats not the pusrpose of this at all. we just wanna show what you can actually get from a stock block, and how long it will last.

ill have around 800 bux invested in this project due to having everything i need already except for the block wich will be on its way to my door step soon.

the last time on a stock block we managed 500hp@26psi

goal is 600hp this time

block will be here within the next 2 weeks hopefully then put it all togather, and wait for newer parts then a trip to kansas city for tuning

 

hopeully this will last all summer long, and next winter get a full build

so what are you doing different from last time? how long did the other stock block run? I'm in the process of doing a stock bottom end lsvtec build. only hoping for 350 on E85. When i get my other block built ill prolly try to push it to the limit just out of curiosity myself.

we are going to tune it out, and now im on a 67mm pte makes a little more power than before

we tuned it midly last time to be honest kept the base at 40psi we will probly go up to 70-80 this time to reach our goals.


after its done ill switch to id2000's/ 6765 maybe a weldon 2025 as well.

my main plans are to have a running motor to put the new stuff around then next winter pull the block and have it built by the timke we drop her back in we will be ready for 800+

 

when i say stock please know i mean completely stock rods and all

 

DAMN! so the 500hp stock block is still going after you blew your built block. thats crazy.

Yes! I have been waiting for a stock block build like this. GL, I wonder how long it will actually last. I thought 500whp was pushing it on stock block lol.

 

donno we will see my tuner seems to think its not an issue. the main differance this time is i will not be driving it on the streets at all to try and prolong the motor.

 

Good idea. You could just turn the boost down too near like 300ish

 

on the streets i alwyas run 13psi thats it, but wear is wear, and the streets is unwanted wear
