Default 4WS light comes on every now and then.

Sup guys, for some reason my 4WS dash light comes on every now and then. Any ideas why it could be comiing on?? Any ideas how to troubleshoot???
Before....when I go the car..the light came on....I checked the tire pressure and they were all wrong. I filled them all up to the correct specs and the light went away.
Recently, I was trying to replace my rear speakers....and I noticed that there seems to be a problem with the wiring to the rear speaker above the 4WS ECU. The original speaker kept fading in and out..so i tried a new speaker. The new speaker hardly plays. I have to CRANK up the volume all the way just get a decent volume out of the speaker.
I want to try the other speaker on that speaker connections to see for sure if there is something wrong with the wiring..but for now I was wondering if you have any ideas what could be causing the warning light to come on.
Thanks

You can find out the same way you check the code on the check engine light
http://www.hondaprelude.to/main_checkengine.html
That is for the 5th gen. it is done the same way just the plug is located behind the center console. I know in mine it is a blue plug some it is yellow. It will be a plug that isn't plugged into anything and has a weird cap on it. When you check the code the 4WS light will blink just like the check engine light would. long blink=10 short=1 so 7long blinks and one short would mean a code of 71. I just had this explained to me today and did it. It is easy.
Here are the codes

70 - The ignition is turned from off to on while driving - 4WS light would come on for this one.

71 - The car is driven aggressively with the driver and three passengers on board, or the steering wheel is turned with a rear wheel blocked by the curb, etc. - no 4WS light on this one

73 - The engine is started while quick-charging the battery - no 4WS light on this one

74 - Driving the car with the parking brake on - 4WS light after 5mins after detection

After you check this make sure to reset the ECU by removing the radio fuse for at least 10 secs. If you get a code that I didn't list then you should take the car to a dealer and ask them what the code could mean.

Have you Considered the fact that A speaker has a Magnet, and that also has electro magnetic signals passing through the speaker. I would try first re routing the speaker wires, and if that doesnt work Dont use a speaker in that location. I would imagine that it only does it with the stereo on.

Im no Expert on Honda 4ws, but I have owned a Car Stereo shop, and worked for 3 others. All my real systems are a simple layout, 5 speakers Max. 3 works just fine. 2 are the front pair of 2 or 3 way speakers, and one good sub.

I might also consider moving the 4ws box Im sure it can be unmounted.

I have a 4ws Prelude but its going to the crusher once the engine is out, and any valuable parts.
