l3 - 1175293 trannsmission help?
ok so i have a tranny with l3 - 1175293 code...the guy told me it was an si tranny off a d series motor he said l3 ment it was si and i looked it up and said that its like identical to the si tranny so i bought it for $90 but all my clutches i have dont fit onto the mainshaft i have 2 from d16z6 and 1 from d15 tranny none fit....and im scared to waste couple hundred bucks on a brand new clutch and it not fit how do i know what 1 to get i tried finding out but i guess im not a good googler...
Cable tranny right? What flywheel are you using? '90 - '00? Use an '88 Accord disc and '90 - '00 Civic pressure plate. If using an '88 - '89 flywheel use an '88 Civic Disc and pressure plate.
If a '92 - '00 Clutch disc wont slide onto the mainshaft that's all you really need to know, that right there tells you it's an '88 tranny.

Must be '88 only. '89 is different (same sized disc as '88 but new style spline count and '90 - '91 are the same as '92 - '00) If you want to use the larger '90 - '00 Pressure plate and flywheel order an '88 Accord disc.
sorry to ask but so i get 90-00 pressure plate and flywheel and 88 accord clutch? i mean will it make a difference or will getting an 88 pressure plate and clutch and keep stock flywheel be just as good?
Accord disc with newer pressure plate gives you more surface area. The '88 - '89 Clutches were a little smaller (and have a matching smaller flywheel) only the '88 has a different spline count for the input shaft though.
