CRX vs CRX SiR chassis
absolutely...iv got a build thread started on here on the proper way to clip if you want it to be indistinguishable as conversion

Thanks for all replies. I got the conversion done from a certain place in my city. But still wanted to ask this question cos of some reasons. one is, i heard that some people saying that the normal crx chassis is not strong as the SiR and could not be able to withstand the engine vibrations and stuff. the other reason is that i dont have enough space to attach the A/C compressor!!! I will post a pic of it soon.
The SIR came with a B16A in it and they have no problem with the power from that. I dont know if the SIR came with a/c though. I can ask this guy i know that has a legit JDM SIR CRX though
Different mounts will position the engine in different places in the engine bay. It's possible that the mounts you have simply put the engine in a position where there isn't enough room for the A/C, but other mounts might leave room.

the oem mounting position sits the b16 higher up in the car they do come with a/c but option mine didnt cause it came with that auto climate control i also have a true ef8 check my post history to see my build thread. my first true ef7 i had did come with a/c and power steering but i removed all that.
Not a crx but my old 90 SiR SE came with a/c (climate control) and power steering.
To answer the original question, 99% of the JDM car can be swapped over without much of an issue. There are a few things I wouldn't try to switch. (lhd to rhd conversion) Just not worth it imo.

Thanks for the information. I think i should re-mount the engine. can someone please suggest me some good engine mounts kit and the other important stuff related to mounting the engine? Thanks again.
The SiR weights more with all the options, and 0-100kph (about the same as 0-60mph) was like 8.2 seconds.....it is not a speed demon!
As already mentioned, the front bulkhead is a little more forward on an SiR and clears the B series compressor it comes with.
USDM crx's did have an a/c option, but the the compressor was a smaller D series, and it was a tight fit!
The best mount kit out there, which gives the best mount position is Hasport!! Period!
SiR's came with aircon (unless delete spec SiR, which came with **** all).
i dont know what you want to achieve.
sir's came with slighlty different spec to usdm cars chassis wise, the actual body floorplan didnt change, so what does it matter?

i'm not sure on mounts, but most traction bars will allow room for the a/c compressor. don't be afraid of non-OEM parts if they make the car better!
