Icon2 The BRAKE light keeps coming on and off.

My 91’civic runs like a champ, but for some reason the BRAKE light keeps coming on and off. It seems to come on more when the tires spin as if it was a traction control, but also randomly some times. I have had the civic for a year now and this only started two weeks ago. Let me know what you think.

Your brake fluid is probably around the MIN line, check it and see. If it's low, check your
brake pads, they may be worn out, causing the fluid level to go down.
When you replace the pads and push the pistons back into the caliper the fluid level will go back up.

the 2 wires goin to the MC cap is what triggers that brake light, and the ebrake of course. first thing you shoulda done was check the fluid level

how about maintaining your brakes? theyre kinda important.

low fluid means your pads are low or you got a leak. both need attention, but not of equal importance... you can figure it out.

Mine did this too but it wasn't low fluid, or the fluid level sensor, or the brake pads. Mine only did it when cornering hard. It ended up being the circuit going to the e-brake was shorting against the body. If none of there ideas work try that.
