Hello,

Looking for some input on where I can source a replacement OEM or similar REAR UPPER ball joint for the control arm. Anyone know if it is the same joint as the front upper joint or same as another model (Accord / prelude)? Honda will only sell the control arm as a whole, not the joint separately, however, I can find the front upper joints separate but that's about it.

Any advice on replacing the rear upper control arm bushings? (Rubber insert) Honda doesn't list it on the part catalog.

 

AFAIK Any prelude from that gen will work on the ball joint.

Unsure on the control arm bushing.

 

JUST CHECKED, 92-95/97-01 Prelude Front upper ball joint will NOT work on the odyssey rear upper control arm....Way too big of a nut on the top (wont' fit into the ball joint hole in the arm)....

 

Check up at odyclub then. A few of the devoted users are using that setup.

 

i had the set up on my van and so did some others .. stock upper control arm .
not sure on the 92-96 same as 97-01 prelude , i used 97 prelude base front upper balljoints
when i looked it up the 92-96 was the same for accords and preludes but diffrent than 97+ preludes
are you putting this on the oem one or those aftermarket ones you picked up ?

if you just wanted stock ones napa auto parts sells it

 

I've replaced my rear uppers with 1 degree ball joints from Mevotech part #pk90490 and is the same for the front

 

Thanks, I was actually needing replacement joints for my Cusco camber arms and they are different than OEM but look the same.
