i have a 94 accord lx auto replaced tha iacv an the cheack engine light went off but it idles at 3gs so i have to drive the car without it connected how can i fix the high rev problem it dont go any higher then 3gs any help will do
Did you touch the idle screw on the throttle body while you were trying to fix the trouble? If so, you now need to set your idle back to factory spec. If you didn't touch that screw, you might want to check your FITV and make sure the ring inside it isn't too loose.
hey thanks it was the fitv but that screw u talked about i dont have 1 i know where it is at on the throttle body but i dont have 1 on it now where can i get a good fitv for cheap or its worth the high price
That screw is on top of the throttle body. Probably covered by a membrane type plug. It's covered for a reason. Since you haven't found it and turned it; don't. Get everything else right with the various valves that control the amount of air being let into the system and the ECU will make the idle right. Fast idle means too much air coming in somewhere. A vacumn leak or some part not working right. Air pockets in the cooling system can also cause erratic idle.
