Icon6 Starter problem help diagnose!!

Whats up every1. Hoping some1 here can help me. Heres what i got, dpfi to mpfi d15b2 obd1 & i just slapped on an si trans with act prolite flywheel. Ever since i installed the flywheel & trans, ive been having problems starting it. The starter is like new, i got it in the summer & when i bought it, the guy told me thats theres 2 or 3 different 1s for the EF civic. So i got the right 1 & it started my hatch right away & now that i got the si trans & flywheel, it starts on the 3rd time. My firends si that shot me the trans & flywheel had a different starter & he never had problems. Im thinking use his starter? What do you guys think? When i drive my car around town, it wants to shut off & sometimes it will. It takes awhile to start & sometimes i gotta disconnect the teminals for a couple of minutes & then it will start. Today i took the starter off & checked the teeth on it & they were fine. I also have a bad jumper harness & when i move it around the car will shut off. I have the harness sitting across the floor mat so that it works fine cause if its bunched up it goes to limp mode or it will turn off, but the turning off part with the jumper harness just happened today. Any help please? I will get my buddys starter asap if thats got anything to do with it & of course buy a new jumper this week, but what can you guys tell me about this?

Sounds like you have multiple issues relating to your wiring.

Not sure where the 3 different starters came from. I think most EF and EG use the same starter.

Well my friends starter looks different then mine. His is thin & mine is a huge fat housing style. I wonder if thats got something to do with it. But yea im going to have him check my wiring & definetly get a new jumper. Even when we slapped it all back together it didnt wanna start right away & it would before.

Yes, a temp sensor can cause problems depending on which one it is.

You know you have a bad jumper harness...why not fix that and then go from there? Spending money on a battery, starter, and dizzy seems pointless if you have a known issue and you aren't taking care of it.

Your right. And i was told earlier today that the temp sensor can cause problems. the jumper harness gave me a code 4, but will take care of that on wednesday. Also a code 6 came up for the engine temp sensor which im going to take care of asap 2maro @ the local junkyard. And now i got a code 9. Its a cylinder position sensor. What does that mean, any1??
