my car makes 376 whp and went 11.3 @ 124 spinning 1st 2nd on 23 inch slicks
im sure with more seat time i may be able to improve on that time as it was the only pass at full potential....had a broken diff when i made that pass as well

Given the trap speed (124 mph) and I'm going to guess he has a SOHC Si/Ex trans, the car weight with him in it would have been around 1045-1104 kg.

If you have a decent track to run on, and you indeed are making 376 hp pushing a car that weighs 1900 lbs with driver, you should be knocking on 9's. And yes, the track's quality and condition of the tires is important.

On **** tires at a great track (Maple Grove, PA), I did an 11.36 @ 127 mph with a 1.96 60'.
On good tires at a poor track (Beaver Springs, PA), I did an 11.31 @ 124 mph with a 1.73 60'. Lost another .100 in 2nd gear here, too, but still barely went quicker.

The car would most likely have an 11.0-11.1 in it on those tires at Maple Grove. And that's at an estimated 2350 lbs with me in it. Making 360-370 whp.

No. 1900 lbs, chassis, driver, cage, everything necessary to go that quickly. You add 370 whp to it, it's going to trap above 135 mph if everything is set up correctly (you end in 4th at least halfway between fall back rpm and rev limit, no real aerodynamic issue, etc.) it will be damn close to 9's at that weight.

If the track and weather is up to snuff, and the tires (slicks) are capable of holding the power, then the 60's at that weight should be 1.70 minimum. Should be well into the 1.6xs on a good track.

I mean, hell, bauergold... what's your Maxima weigh? 3300 lbs? Probably makes 240 whp or so with the same torque? And you had it go 12.9 without slicks? I don't see why 9's with 370whp and 1900 lbs would be impossible.

yea sory guys am not to clued up on lbs am more a kg man..lol 9s i certainly didnt think would be posible, this is on standard trany aswel just to let yous know! no dog box's,no straight cut gears etc,so thats going to slow the time down abit..the track is a good track so 60ft's should stay around 1.8 and hopefuly even lower like 1.6s or somting,..i was thinking maybe just get into the 10s,but i get lower ill take it..
thanks for the replys

There is a reason why people are making funny and smart comments. You should read the rules.

No advertising in the forum in anyway, hidden or blatant. If you're a business take the time to buy ad space on the forum and pay like everyone else does. If there are any ads, that even seem like advertising for a business the thread will be locked and the user warned and then docked % points

Please keep all personal and or derogatory comments to yourself, or PM's. Name calling of any sort, be it racial, or just name calling in general will not be tolerated. If you want to talk to a poster about a comment made in a thread, please take it to PM's we don't need the personal banter taking over threads as it has in the past.

No bench racing. No how fast will my car go at xxxwhp? Or how much power will my setup make.

There will not be anymore calling out of sellers, shops, and merchants for means of communication. If you are having an issue with a shop/person please keep them in pm's. Future threads will be locked or moved.

There is far too much crap, and BS going on in this forum lately, and it will no longer be tolerated. If you break any of these rules you will be warned once, and then you will start to have user % points taken away, eventually you will be banned

Please take the time to read the Honda-tech.com terms of service.

These rules will be continually amended and changed as the moderators see fit, do yourselves a favor and have a look at them occasionally to be sure that things haven't changed.

Have a great day!

bench racing gets a LOCK, and i am a funny guy... but seriously if the rules arent going to be inforced whats the reason for having them. plus i get infractions for stupid **** so anyone breaking a rule on here should get one too.

1.72 60ft is the best ive got so far but have only made 1 pass so i should improve that
ex trans, and the run was done at a local track that is ****!!, no track prep at all
all this done on 23" slicks

would be awesome to hit high 10s but im optomistic, i think i need more power but we will see in bout 4 months!!...lol.............fn hate ohio weather
