i never did it on my own, but my buddy who works at a shop told me to give him a hand one night to see how its all done and whats involved labor wise. It took him and I aprox 4 hours w/ little 10 minute breaks here and there. No special tools needed but an air gun w/ different extensions would make the job a lot quicker. We were fortunate enought work on the car while it was up on the lift as well.it can be done by one person, but help wouldnt hurt. I dont have a haynes manual, but i'm sure it should cover all the info needed. good luck

2 days (damn ball joints)
air tools help if you have them. Clutch alignment tool. 12 point 12mm socket. 12 point 14mm(I think) for the flywheel bolts. A crow bar is handy to wedge the flywheel. If your balljoints don't come off get ready for some cursing. A big hammer, ball joint seperator are also handy.

One person job except for removing and reinstalling the tranny. You could prep and have a friend come over for an hour or two to help. It can be one person if you have a tranny jack, but they are expensive. I have not seen my helms manual in a while, I don't know. I recommend helms. Haynes misses so much.
