Default 4.7 FD in a gsr tranny

i been thinking about throwing a itr 4.7 final drive in my gsr tranny and was looking for little info on it as far as how it will effect my gearing and mpg. i have been told it will "pep" up my gsr trans. how high will it be reving while cruising in 60mph as that is my normal drive around speed.

Well according to that calculator I will be at 31xx rpms so not a big jump which is good but that only answer part of it. Will it rev up quicker, make gears shorter. I don't know much about gearing so forgive questions if they are simple

the final drive will help you accelerate through each gear, but it is up to the gears that you have that will really make the difference.

So it would" feel" like it shorter gears but just get you up to speed faster kinda like what a light weight flywheel does?

no, say you drive your car like the way it is right now, ya it feels nice, but then you add the new fd into the mix, its like a short burst of dope was given to the transmission and now its going faster.
