Default Sold the H22 hatch... what next for new project?

Yup... sold my H22 hatch. Haven't been on the boards that much lately... busy with this, getting another car, and other stuff. Anyways, this kid is picking it up next week after it gets out of the paint booth (repainted to BMW gunmetal - I'll post picts up next week), but for the price that he's paying, I couldn't pass it up. I thought about keeping it because it's a fast car and it's cool to drive, but there were a few factors that I had thought about..... So I was talking to an old friend of mine and the subject came up, and he knew a kid who wanted a fast car... showed the kid some picts, timeslips, and specs on what it had done.... threw out a high price that I wanted, and the kid came up for a test drive and was immediately sold. So I figured fuggit, and onto a new project.

So what's my new project? Well, my next car is currently being shipped from over seas (yes, it's still a Honda) so hopefully I'll have enough time to get it all ready for the next Hybrid Track Day in Buttonwillow right after Thanksgiving. What motor? I have a couple of ideas up my sleave... but I think this will stay all motor (might turbo my DA ). I'll still be on this board, still contributing to H22 stuff (since I've had a lot of experience in that field, and have done plenty of those swaps, and will still sell HCP mount kits at a very affordable price - that all won't change). Only thing that is changing is my car (much like any of you who have sold a car). Just thought I'd share this since some people kinda heard, and kept on messaging me or emailing me, so I figured I'd clear up a few things. I'm actually not really sad to see it go.... for the price, I can easily build another one plus more. Personally, I can careless what people think my decision or my car... heh, but I'm still around to help with my knowledge on certain subjects.

I'll post new picts of the paint job next week, but here's the S2000 silver paint on it:

whoa, killer car. that's great you made out well in the sale. You wouldn't care to share the price you sold it for would you?

Importing from overseas... would your next project be RHD?

Yes, I got quite a bit of cash for it, enough to build another one of these cars with enough left over.

Yes, my next car has the steering wheel on the other side.

No, those aren't JHP locks, but Mr. Gasket hood locks that you can pick up anywhere for $19 (got mine from PepBoys) - have 2 sets for my CF and stock hoods.

same concept though

you basically got paid for all the labor you put into your car for someone to drive, which i wouldn't have a problem with at all
cuz then you can use that on parts heh.

I've seen the pepboys ones, I might have to look at those.

100 shot of NOS makes a big difference when running open header off of the huge Hotshot 4-1 race header w/3" collector..... that and some good 22x7x13 slicks on Bogarts and "steel straps" compressing your rear springs, thus pulling 1.7-1.8 60' times.

Jason - cage didn't go with the car (**** took too long to arrive so I cancelled it - Ryan's is still on its way). I have the slips, but they didn't turn out well when I took a digital pict of them with my camera, so I showed them to the kid. Wanna see them, come up here

BTW, I was amazed to see the H22 easily pass the tailpipe (smog) test with the rich Spoon P13 in it. All I did was bolt on a cat... simple as that.

Spoon P13 dumps a lot of fuel... but in VTEC, it pulls like a ***** (compared to stock). I played around this weekend with a Hondata system, using stock P13 fuel mapping and Type S fuel mappings on a P28 ECU.... a bit smoother than the Spoon P13 below VTEC, but not as strong in VTEC (but with some adjustments in the Hondata, that can easily be fixed). We're playing with the settings for that and trying to get a good, all around strong program for the H22 setup.

hmm, so you've gone boosted with one motor, nitrous with the next, no surprise that you are planning all motor. Sad to see it go, it was a sick ride but then again so was the turbo b20 rex. Anyways, make sure you keep us posted on what your new project turns out to be we all know it will turn out sick.
