On a B16, a type R is a waste.

The other brands make no more power than an oem 2nd gen P30 B16A manifold

I felt the difference on my lsv. I went with fist gen skunk2 (copy of type r manifold) with an oem p73 throttle body. But I didn't feel the difference until I hit closer to 5000 rpm. I like it and that's what I would suggest. I was running a stock obd0 b16a manifold before.

they don't do anything unless you get bigger injectors and a tune, but for the gsr it helps up high end alot and has little to no low end if your still using the p72 ecu that still reads the dual runners.

Yeah I have been running the skunk2 manifold for serveral years now on my gsr and you notice a difference for sure. I am just running a b16 TB and it works well with that and a CAI. The bottom end was about the same and the mid fell off just a tad bit but the top end was way better. Overall its a good mod. Just be sure to reroute the cooling lines from the tb and use a plastic spacer between the head and manifold to keep the temps down.
