Noticeable Difference between 14s and 15s?
Hey guys,
I'm ordering some Falken Azenis soon, and I'm wondering whether to put them on my 14" steelies, or on my 15" LS mesh daily driven rims? Is there going to be a noticeable difference during an autocross with 14s vs 15s, or should I put the Azenis on my daily driven 15s and use those 15s at the track and just forget about the 14s?
Thanks,
Ben

I personally wouldn't want to use steelies for autox or track use. Put the tires on the 15's. You get more contact patch that way too.
The 14s will give you a better gear ratio for autocross
I'd put it on the 15's and throw away the 14" steelies, unless you need them for some snow tires.
The other variable is wheel width. I've had 205/40/15 Azenis on both 15x6 and 15x7 wheels, and the extra inch made an appreciable difference.
I had the 14 azenis and definatly wanted a little more tire under the car, so instead of buying some 15s I got sticky r compounds instead. I would reccomend the 15in azenis unless you are on a budget.

Should I buy Azenis now, or should I wait till spring? Is there any reason not to buy new tires at the beginning of winter/end of fall? We don't really get that much snowfall.
