3.0 VTEC V6 trans repairs.
My tranny shifts hard into second. Doesnt jump out of gear or anything like that just shifts hard. When it shifts it revs up then slams into the next gear. Shifts smoothly when down shifting. Has anyone repaired there trannys for this same problem or like problem? If so how much did it cost and what did they replace? Just trying to get an idea on how much its going to run. My car only has 92,000 on her so thats why im investing for the repair. Any help would be great, Thanx

 

Have you serviced this trans with genuine honda fluid?

 

+1. If you haven't changed the fluid recently, do so with genuine Honda fluid, it may help. If you put in non-Honda fluid, there may be your problem.

 

it was serviced at the acura dealership so its honda fluid. i just cant figure out what could be causing it to shift really hard.

 

its been like this for a while and it hasnt gotten worse.

 

You can try Lucus transfix. Alot of people are skeptical about it, but it worked for a Mazda 626 I owned years ago, and those transmission always blow up. You can also find a place like Ammco transmissions as one of there services they check your transmission for free and can tell you what the problem is.
