Default DA to EF interchange?

Hey I came across a 91 Integra 90% there, at the junkyard today.
I know a good portion of that car I can use for parts. I was wondering what exactly I can use off that car: steering wheel, breaks, control arms, what all can I use??

I know you can use the struts I have swapped them before. I also remember looking into using a DA steering rack and they are supposed to interchange but i never got back out there to pull it and try. Anything else I would be guessing but they do use a lot of the same parts.

Oh and I've seen a lot of the DA center consoles put into EF's which I think is very slick. Had my eye out for that opportunity for a while.

I'm pretty sure there's a comprehensive list of what bolts right in to an EF, remember reading it somewhere on the web but forgot to bookmark it :/ also, as much of a pain in the *** it can be, you could pull parts off the da and see if they bolt up to an ef in the same scrapyard (if they have one that is)

DA Radiator bolts right up. Better for swaps because the hose inlet size matches b-series motors. Fitment is just like stock EF radiator.
Knuckles bolt right up. if you want to put bigger front rotors on your EF. I'd suggest you get a camber kit though because the camber will need to be adjusted.
Brake Booster and Master cylinder. If you decide to change your brakes with the DA knuckles or add the rear disc I'd probably change this with the DA BB and MC.

That's what I've swapped but I'm sure there are more.

Its actually a PR4 ECU...so the BB & MC will bolt right up with no problems?
I tried pulling these parts off at the yard earlier...not enougfh time
However I believe I noticed an ABS system on the passenger side & I heard that I cannot use the MC from an ABS model

P.S. does any body have the link for the parts interchange?

Is there anything special you need to do to fit the dc center console to fit the ef? Or what parts of the dc one you need, seems like a lot cheaper route then finding an ef one

I was hoping to talk more about mechanical parts & such that interchange...any way, you take off the bottom section on ur radio cover, drill a couple of holes on ur EF console, then put a few screws in on the sides (2 mounting holes on DC) and ur good to go! Mine needs tweeked a bit, due to a tight fit w/ my seats..........but anyway Im gonna put the DC dashboard in soon so everything is going to be reworked

look around there is many write up on the console allone!

You can use struts, Knuckles, Rear disc, lower control arms, the exhaust can be shortened to fit, the entire b18a1 and trans, Pr4 ecu, almost all of the sensors off the motor, injectors off of a 90-91, and you can use the entire front end if you switch the front core support to a DA one.

I know...but 90% of people dont know that! I'd rather call it "88 Honda Civic DX Hatchback"...or I could just call it "EF hatch" and keep it simple for people who can't think. Thanks for the reminder though!!

I was wondering; this guy says you can use the Si e-brake cables if you swap in a DA rear disc conversion. Is this accurate?

I just got back from the boneyard with a full conversion (including cables), but I'd like to know so I don't have to wrestle the cables back into the car. It was a bitch and a half to get them out of the DA.

No, you'll have to modify the GSR console slightly to fit to the EF climate control/floor. Honestly, if you take out the stock EF center console and just lay the GSR one where it should go, you'll see where you need to drill and screw it down. You also need to use the GSR center console bracket, I believe (it's a metal bracket that sits right behind the e-brake lever, and holds the cables. You'll know it when you see it.) I also cut out a piece of the armrest right below the ashtray so it would sit better on the floor.

This was my go-to when I did my swap:

https://honda-tech.com/forums/tech-misc-15/how-install-integra-center-console-onto-civic-2570779/

However: You don't really need to buy and fit screw clips to fit the Integra console on. Most of the screw points are metal, and you can really just use self-tapping sheet metal screws to fit everything together. Paint 'em black if you want them to disappear among the plastic.
