What is involved in swapping a crank for more displacement?
There's a cheap OEM upgrade for the H22 I have some questions about... basically it involves swapping the stock crank + rods for those in an F22 to get an H23A, with the better cams/TB and higher compression.
My questions are
- if you keep the stock pistons but take them out to change the rods, do you have to change the rings?
- would taking the pistons out + getting new rings mess with the cylinder walls?
- Is there anything extra that has to be done or watched for because of the FRM cylinders?

alright i can answer the first two. the last one i don't know about.
i would. just because. if your going to be in there you might as well replace everything. plus then it'll be new and won't have to worry about wear or blow by or any ring problem.
no. your walls will be fine. just make sure to lube up everything for the initial startup. because then you might damage something.
